Privacy Policy
Direct Home Buyers (“we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect through directhomebuyers.ca, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- When you ask for an offer: the property’s address, city and postal code, your name, phone number and (if you give it) email, and anything you choose to tell us about the property.
- When you join our buyers list: your name, email, (optional) phone, the areas and kinds of properties you’re interested in, your budget and your message.
- Technical information: to stop spam, a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address is kept for one day to limit how many messages can be sent. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
Only to contact you about your property or about deals you asked to hear about, and to keep a record of our conversation. We never sell your information or share it with marketers.
Where it’s kept
Messages are emailed to us and stored securely with our website host, Cloudflare, and deleted from the website after one year. Your information may be processed outside Canada by these service providers.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to be taken off the buyers list, at any time: email info@directhomebuyers.ca or call 647-947-4019.
Changes
If we change this policy, the new version will be posted on this page. Last updated October 2026.
